Welcome to JAX Leaders & Allies "Welcome Here" program page.

 

Imagine not knowing whether the next place you walk into will respect your name, use your pronouns, or make you feel like you belong. JLA's Welcome Here program aims to help take away that uncertainty.

 

Through a visible window decal, Northeast Florida businesses and organizations can show LGBTQIA community members that the people working within those walls are committed to creating a welcoming and respectful space, before someone ever has to ask.

"​We pledge to welcome and respect LGBTQIA people, honor the names and pronouns they share, provide services without discrimination, and continue working toward a space where everyone can feel seen, valued, and safe."

Why join the "Welcome Here" project?

 

Upon signing the Welcome Here Pledge:

​

  • You will receive a Welcome Here decal to display near the entrance of your business or organization or a badge to post on your website.

  • You will become part of a growing network of welcoming spaces throughout Northeast Florida.

  • You will have access to optional education and community resources.

Participating locations may opt in on the form to be included in JAX Leaders & Allies’ community resource listings and directories, helping LGBTQIA people identify welcoming spaces across Northeast Florida.
